"The WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, is tonight facing growing legal problems around the world, with the US announcing that it was investigating whether he had violated its espionage laws."

An international search has not been launched for the whereabouts of Assange by Interpol.  Assange is wanted in Sweden on charges of sexual misconduct which include rape.

Assange is reportedly seeking asylum in Switzerland, but it appears that he has also been offered asylum by the leftist government of Ecuador.
