Obama Donor Sony Pictures, Releasing Bin Laden Movie Before Election

The Weekly Standard published this story today, sparking all sorts of comments and reaction from  the American public.  Navy SEAL families are particularly upset by this intrusion into the privacy they guard so zealously.

The United States Navy's Sea, Air and Land Teams, commonly known as Navy SEALs, are the U.S. Navy's principal special operations force and a part of the Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC) as well the maritime component of the United States Special Operation Command (USSOCOM)

The acronym is derived from their capacity to operate at sea, in the air, and on land. In the War on Terror, SEALs have been utilized almost exclusively for land-based operations, including Direct Action, Hostage Rescue, Counter Terrorism, Special Reconnaissance, unconventional warfare and foreign internal defense operations.

The U.S. Navy SEALs are often our very first line of defense because they  can and do, disable our enemies by bringing the war to them before they can reach our homeland. Their specialized training and skills in warfare make the SEALs  some of the most outstanding warriors in America's military history.

Barack Hussein Obama ran for the office of president as an anti-war candidate.  His disregard for the United States Military has always been evident.  It was especially brought home to all during negotiations to prevent a government shut down when Obama threatened to veto a bill that would guarantee the military's pay through the end of the year.

The fact that Barack Hussein Obama has granted Sony Pictures the right to release the story of the SEALs raid and capture of Osama bin Laden, just prior to the presidential elections of 2012 AFTER Sony Pictures hosted a fund raiser for him, is typical of the Chicago style politics that Obama has always practiced.   His modus operandus has always been cronyism and favoritism - you rub my back and I'll rub yours, and to Hell with honor, integrity, security, or military protocol.

The anti-war president is going to try to get himself re-elected at the expense of the United States Navy and the SEALs who risked their lives to capture the world's number one  terrorist.  It really is a despicable move and leaves us feeling nauseated.

Two Sisters

Sony Hosted Obama Fundraiser, Releasing Bin Laden Movie Before Election

There may be an overtly political reason that moviegoers will be seeing the story of the Osama bin Laden raid just before they vote for president.

Sony Pictures, the company distributing next year's film, hosted a fundraiser for Barack Obama on their studio's premises in California last April. So far, Sony is the only major studio to hold a political fundraiser this cycle. According to Deadline Hollywood, Sony will release the bin Laden movie, directed by Academy Award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow, on October 12, 2012--less than a month before the presidential election.
"The eyebrow does go up when you see the release date," says Douglas Urbanski, a Hollywood producer and conservative radio talk show host. Urbanski said he believes Bigelow's movie will be straightforward and apolitical, much like her 2009 war film The Hurt Locker (which won the Academy Award for Best Picture). But Sony's decision to release the bin Laden movie just weeks before the election, he says, is most likely "very, very deliberate."

Urbanski was a producer for The Contender, a 2000 political thriller with a plot that sympathized with a sex scandal-plagued Democrat and demonized a conservative Republican member of Congress. The movie was released on October 13, 2000.  "It was without a doubt a deliberate attempt to influence the election," says Urbanski.
Sony Pictures could not immediately be reached for comment.
